ADVISORY BOARD

Do you have skills or talents in fundraising, non-profit organization management, accounting, counseling or networking?

As an Advisory Board member, RVAP will provide you with the opportunity to interact with others while advancing your knowledge about our organization and issues surrounding sexual abuse and victim advocacy.

RVAP Advisory Board members provide agency oversight in conjunction with The University of Iowa Office of the Vice President for Student Life. The Advisory Board is responsible for:

Monitoring the agency’s finances
Planning and conducting fundraising events
Attracting new donors
Fulfilling the agency’s mission and vision
Developing a strategic funding plan

Board members possess a variety of individual skills and represent various constituencies. We encourage diverse board membership.

Advisory Board members must be passionate about our mission and active in helping the agency achieve its goals. If you think you would be a good match for our Board, please consider joining us.

Note that Advisory Board members are required to sign a confidentiality statement and must undergo a criminal background check prior to joining the Advisory Board.
