Set Programming

RVAP has two fixed programs that continue to be popular among schools, colleges and universities:

Safe Dates

Safe Dates is an adolescent dating abuse prevention curriculum for use in grades 7-12. The nine session program deals with attitudes and behaviors commonly associated with dating abuse and violence.

What it’s Like: Sexual Assault Advocacy

What it’s Like helps college/university students and administrators understand the complex emotions and issues sexual violence victims/survivors face in the days, months, and years following an assault.

Participants accompany a character through different stations and stages of the healing process. Each participant makes choices for his or her character.

What it’s Like was created with kind permission from the Houston Area Women’s Center. It was adapted from their wonderful program, Walking the Walk: A Sexual Violence Awareness Exercise.
